Their presence signified a rigorous yet constructive evaluation process, ensuring that SMAG continues to uphold the highest standards in education, governance, quality assurance and student services among others.
During the visit, SMAG showcased the remarkable talents of its students through a heartfelt welcome program. ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ of Grade 11 Mother of Perpetual Help delivered a poetry performance. Adding a touch of local heritage, the ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ danced the lively Makatapak Festival. Meanwhile, ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ธ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐, the schoolโs official dance troupe, captivated the crowd with a breathtaking performance.

Out of 70 participants, three of our own stood out, with one journalist securing a spot in the Regional Secondary Schools Press Conference (RSSPC) qualifiers.

Nativity scenes, symbolic tree lighting, and ornaments hanging accompanied by joyous singing and dancing-all in remembrance of the very first Christmas!
But guess what dominated this celebration? It was the love, warmth, and Ignacian-Marian spirit that radiated among students, staff, administrators, families, and friends who attended the event.

SMAG DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM

In response to the campaign on preparedness on natural disaster and calamities, St. Mary's Academy of Guagua strengthens its Disaster Preparedness Program. Headed by Mr. Angelo Yumul, the Student Activity Coordinator (STAC), series of planning, coordination, and orientation were facilitated to refresh the students and personnel's role on the school's contingency plan. As part of the RVM Quality Roadmap, the school had its Internal Validation/Audit on November 8, 2024. The activity spearheaded by Mrs. Miriam S. Quebral, the Quality Assurance Coordinator assessed the school's operations and services that are being offered to its clientele. Prior to the day's internal validation, series of orientations was held to make the personnel and validators fully aware of the objectives, standards and processes. The internal validators consisting of groups of select personnel from different offices and departments were tasked to lead the validation, each focusing on a specific area of concern. During the activity, interviews, validation of policies, perusal of documents, and observation of classes were conducted in line with quality assurance. The day ended with the presentation of findings of the different areas, each highlighting the strengths and opportunities for improvement.ย
Living Rosary 2024ย

As part of the culminating activity of the Christian Living, Campus Ministry, and Mother Ignacia Club Months, St. Mary's Academy of Guagua had its Living Rosary. This year's activity focused on the call of Pope Francis on the care on creation in his encyclical "Laudato Si". Plants and seedlings are offered by the Junior High School students as beads of the rosary and Hail Marys were prayed in different languages by the Senior High School students and parents from Grade School as also a way to commemorate the United Nations Month.ย

And once again, SMAG proved its intellectual dominance, securing a remarkable haul of medals.
๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐รฑ๐ถ๐ด๐ผ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ป๐พ๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐ผ, a Junior High School student, led the charge with a perfect ๐-๐ standing, clinching the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ in the Boysโ High School Singles Standard. His calculated moves and sharp focus made him a force to be reckoned with on the board.
๐๐น๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐ป, a Senior High School student, wasnโt far behind, finishing with a ๐.๐-๐ record, and earning the ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ in the same event.
The pair also teamed up for the Team Standard competition, which led them to a well-earned ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐.
Meanwhile, ๐๐ฎ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ, representing the Elementary boys, got a ๐-๐ record, earning a ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ in the Boysโ Elementary Singles Standard category.
With these incredible performances, SMAG once again showed that itโs not just athletic strength that sets the school apart, but the strategic brilliance of its students.

Coach ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฅ๐ผ๐พ๐๐ฒ shared his pride for the team. He mentioned that the boys exceeded their initial goal of just winning four games. To make it to the finals was beyond what they hoped for. They played with all their heart.

On ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฐ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ, St. Maryโs Academy of Guagua celebrated World Teacherโs Day with the theme โ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ: ๐๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ ๐๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐๐ ๐.โ The event was organized by the Student Council Executive and Legislative Board, along with the Student Council Moderator; it served as a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of our educators while addressing the pressing challenges they face amidst a global shortage of teachers.
The program kicked off with the entrance of SMAG faculty and personnel, followed by opening remarks and an insightful video presentation showing the global teacher shortage. The council, with the help of the students, also presented a video presentation to show their appreciation to their teachers.
Students, faculty, and staff were able to indulge in massages, watch movies, capture memories in a photo booth, enjoy the coffee mechanism, sing their hearts out in the karaoke booth, and partake in various other activitiesโ๐ข๐ต๐ต๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ด ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ซ๐ฐ๐บ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ข ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ฆ๐ด ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ซ๐ถ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ด ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ด๐ช๐จ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ท๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ข ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ค๐ฉ-๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ.
This celebration not only honored the invaluable contributions of our teachers but also aimed to raise awareness about the systemic issues affecting education today.
