Library

Library Orientation. The library orientation program offers to new pupils and students an introduction to the library’s resources and services offered in the library. It offers an opportunity for the pupils and students to be familiarized with the different sections and policies of the library. Generally, library orientation is being conducted at the beginning of the school year. 

Library Instruction. The library instruction provides opportunities, resources, and space to enrich, enlighten, entertain and engage the community within the school. It is designed to help students improve their learning skills and develop their love for reading in partnership with instruction. 

Circulation Services. Circulation services assist library users with the location of library materials. Functions include borrowing and returning of materials including renewal and collection of fees and other charges, re-shelving of the library materials, and maintaining order in shelving areas.

User’s Assistance. The library staff helps and guides library users to find specific answers to their questions. They assist library users with the best means of locating information.

Computer and Internet Access. The library is equipped with computer units with internet access. Library users may use the facilities for free.

Audio-Visual Material Support. The library provides free access to the equipment and AV materials to library users to make the learning process more effective and conceptual.

Reader’s Advisory. A list of new acquisitions, announcements, and other library information updates is displayed on the library bulletin board. 

Suggest for purchase. The library strongly encourages input from its patrons concerning the collection. A suggestion for purchase procedure enables library users to request a particular item be purchased by the library. It is the library’s intent that suggestions for purchase be used to help the library in developing collections that serve the interest and needs of the school as a community.
